There is never a shortage of parks here in Vancouver and one of the best parks around is the Central Park.

Strategically located in Kingsway, it is a great park to escape form the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

I am so excited for Spring and I am experimenting with close up photos in Macro setting.

I am so happy with the outcome. I still have a long way to go but I am happy that I am able to capture a part of the beauty of Spring. Parks are something we have an abundance of here in Vancouver so I am just clicking away as I see them filling up the soil.

Show me your tips on capturing flowers. I can't wait to have an exchange of ideas.

RBP's Bug Zone

We passed by the park near our house the week we had no summer classes and we saw tents set up with lots of butterflies and lots of kids. We decided to inquire and found out that it was a week long free program of Bible, Crafts, Games, Singing and with loads of prizes. I figured that it was a great way to get Kimi occupied first part of the day and Kenzo playing outside while waiting.

Day 02 was raining so we opted to stay at home...

* Day 03, grandpa took Kimi to the park 

I saw her  volunteering to hold the cheat card for the singing time.

* Day 04 was the last day

It was nice that the kids got a photo of themselves in the bug poster to put in the frame they are going to color. Kimi got herself a balloon butterfly from being such a well-behaved and model student for the day.

Golden Ears Provincial Park

A perfect day for a beach.

Thanks to Mommy Joy for organizing a big beach/ potluck in Golden Ears to celebrate more of Summer.

We got lots tons of food that would last us the whole day, or maybe even the next day....

The kids, on the other hand, was more excited in the prospect of making sand castles and swimming.

It was a lot of changing with the kids going back and forth the beach and getting themselves wet or dirty. I used up all the clothes I have packed for this trip...

Kenzo played by the mats and decided it was too hot. Thanks to Sam, he decided that Sam's hat would look good with his outfit...

Steve, brought some friends, who brought a boat which the kids thought were cool and decided to try it out in the water. Thanks to the daddies who pushed the kids back and forth the shallow waters. This was the highlight of their day at the beach.

It's grand to BEE 1

I was really excited for Theo's Party. Mommy Les asked me to help out with the tags and I was beyond excited to see them in actual. This was my first time to make tags aside from my kids in a big amount and it was a real honor to have someone appreciate them and include them in such an important event like a 1st birthday.

Mommy Joy of Joyful Indulgences made the cake as well as the sugar cookies for the party...

Unfortunately, I was late for the real event but I am so glad that Charlie can be relied for pictures of everything from the event.
