Mommy's Little Helper

Growing up in Canada, Kimi learns to imitate mommy...

Aside from playing dress up like mommy, she loves to play Little Helper when mommy is doing her chores. She made up her mind to be a part of every chore that mommy has to do...

Be it washing the dishes, cooking or doing the laundry....

She wanted to deliver the folded clothes to the low stool by the stair for Nana to see when she wakes up the next morning...

It is really amazing how she is becoming her own person and establishing her own character... I am so thankful of each day that I get the chance to be with her when a lot of mommies don't have that option. I got to see all the progress and even if I am with her day to day, it still feels like she is still growing up way too fast...

Search for the best mop...

Being a mommy change my way of shopping...

Instead of just focusing on myself, I am constantly looking at the kitchen and household section of the stores and found myself more and more enchanted with little clothes.

When we went for a day trip to Walmart, I ended up buying a new mop to try for maintaining a clean home in a more hassle-free way. The Shark Steam Mop boasts of its light weight and steam function which cleans the house with just the use of ordinary water (...and not chemical) which is a big plus when you have a baby at home.
Of course, I am still a girl before I became a mom so I still got some beauty bargains for myself... A few clothing to add to my collection for fall season and a razorback top as well as a skirt when I do get back to my pre pregnancy shape as an added incentive for me to fous on getting back in shape after delivery.

The Art of Dishwasher Arrangement

Coming from Manila, it is easy to forget that there is such a thing as a "dishwasher", unless it is a person who does them which we call "helper". Up until now, using the dishwasher at home is so scarce that we can count it in both hands just how many times it was operated. We have officially decided to make use of it atleast once a week, preferably on Mondays just so we can make use of it before it is out of warranty.

With scheduling out of the way, I realized that arranging the items inside the washer requires me to look at the instruction manual as well. I didn't know that there is a way on how to arrange the items inside with places for glass, small plates, bug plates and bowl as well as pots and pans... Oh well... It also takes time to arrange those plates the first time and I mentally calculated that I would have washed all those dishes by the time I read the instruction and finish arranging them inside the machine. Ha Ha! More practice!!!

Time to mow...

Having a backyard means mowing the grass...
...and since it was raining for a few days the mowing was delayed...but the growing grass still grew longer day after day. Alas... A Sunny Day! When the weather forecast predicted Saturday to be a Cloudy/ Sunny day, Karl and me braved the cold wind and prepared the mower and clear plastic for the cut grass. (They put cut grass here on clear plastic for pick up. They have garbage disposal rules here and they don’t get the trash if you don’t follow the rules...They even have weight limit per bag!) . Karl did the mowing while I hold the electric cord out of his way... He just had to drag me with him to do chores everytime...

NOT mowing the grass will be a chore I will be looking forward to when winter comes (He! He!)
