Summer is the season that I get really behind on my chores.
I feel guilty when I come home to find unfinished laundry unfolded, etc. The weather's really nice outside these past few weeks and it was just too tempting to stay in and do chores. I will just do double time when Winter comes...
Nevertheless, it is the best season to get the kids active and doing it together was the best way to do it.
This time around, we decided to go back to Kerrisdale Play Palace (our 2nd time) with the whole gang- almost!
It was hard to take pictures with all the kids scattered around the play area but i managed to get Kenzo a picture of where he shouldn't be...
* Kenzo loves the places he shouldn't be in
It was a few hours of fun and running, then some snacking, then more running, jumping and going up and down the slides...
Afterwards, it was a bit of coaxing to get them out of the door to call it a day.
* Shawn was the real attraction
It was nice to see the kinds being extra gentle with Little Shawn, even Kenzo was gentle when he is around Baby Shawn.
Take-Off Fridays are back once again for the 3rd time.
We took the skytrain from a nearby parking lot for a lower parking rate and a fun experience for the kids as well...
* Skytrain kiddos

The kids had fun running around the airport, oblivious to the fact that they were sharing the area with travelers and luggage/carts. They just loved the fact there was a lot of free samples, activities and even mascots (moving and not) to take pictures with.
Pamela sent out invites for a Summer get together a few weeks after their summer break started.
It was a perfect way to bond before the kids go on their new school this September.
I was surprised that Pam's mom rented their social room just for the event and prepared a spread fit for a birthday party for the kids (and adults) to snack on.
It just so happened that it was also the first day of Kimi's week day camp so we had to go after an hour of play and missed the magician that was supposed to come and entertain the kids at 1pm... Oh well!
It was a Fun 4 Kidz day once again. (We weren't able to join the first one)
The mommies decided to start the 2nd day of the year right with the kids enjoying the day with their play mates. It was nice to get the kids to meet up before the winter break ends. I am sure they missed the good old times of meeting each other once a week... or maybe it's the mommies that misses those meet ups?! he he!
* Fun 4 Kidz
The price admission for the day was $11.99 (holiday rate). Good thing though we had the buy 1 and get 1 free from the entertainment book :)
Kenzo was confined to the Toddler area, while the other kids had the whole area they can explore.
* Justin in the Toddler Area
* Kimi and Sammy trying out their hand at construction
* Finally got Ryker to stand still for a moment :)
* Ni Hao? Ni Hao!
* Carmi was able to come join us...
Braden and Macky wasn't there so the buddy system changed. It was fun to see them trying out different partners throughout the day.
After awhile, it was time to get the kids to eat their lunch.
...and for the adults to enjoy Joy's home-baked cake
THANKS JOY!
* Carrot Cake just the way I like!
* Service Deluxe!
...Mommy Joy wasn't there but we sure felt her presence... in our stomach :) YUMMY!
...then they found the rides!
* A Dollar well spent!
Imagine, we got the 6 kids happy with a dollar coin...and of course, that wasn't the first and last ride...
they decided to try each of the ride available in the vicinity as well....... uhmmmm
* Carmi and Kimi
* Kalen and Sam

...the coins are disappearing really quick. We had to get the kids back to the play area.
* Choo choo to Fun 4 Kidz
Kenzo went back to the Toddler Area, and we had the kids play again.
* Kenzo loved the balls...
* Carmi and Kimi loved the slides
* Ever-ready smile
* Buddy for the day...
* Carmi :)
...after that, the kids were all knocked out on the way home...
