Light the Night 2015 Fundraising

Once Again, I have joined the Light the Night Walk which will be held on Stanley Park Lumberman's Arch on Saturday, October 17, 2015

I am taking the role of Team Captain again and would love to have your support in this great event.

I am still thinking of ways to raise fund and would be more than happy for more suggestions.

As of now, I am putting in personalize pins made by me as one of the ways to raise fund for this wonderful project.

Proceeds from the sale will be put under the TEAM CHUA for LIGHT THE NIGHT 2015.

You can do a TEAM PINSPIRATION for your team who are joining the walk or get some pins for your event at school, office or group. It is also a great way to add as a loot bag or as an inexpensive way to award somebody for a job well done. Either way, we can customize for you and you get to help a worthy cause!

Light the Night 2014 in Vancouver

This year, me and my husband decided to support LLS with their annual Light the Night Walk.

With chapters throughout Canada and the United States, LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. 

Our mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

In 2012, Light The Night was able to raise $50 million for blood cancer research in North America.

Across Canada in 2013 The Light The Night walks raised over five million dollars. Vancouver hosted its 9th Walk in 2013 and raised over $603,000.

This is not just a walk, it’s a chance to come together and support one another, complete with music, food and family fun. Everyone and anyone can join us to help take steps to cure cancer.

As of today, we reached the $100- $499 goal. We hope we will get more support as the event gets closer.

Why We Walk

• Over 100,000 people are living with, or are a survivor of, a blood cancer in Canada.
• Every 28 minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer in Canada.
• Every 77 minutes one Canadian will die from blood cancer.
