Strange But True?

Last year, libraries in B.C. launched a reading program which was called Savour each word for summer reading 2011 which we took a part in.

This year's reading program is entitled "Strange But True?", we passed by the library to get the booklet to get Kimi and Kenzo engaged in some reading this summer and we bought small stickers to keep tab on their reading calendar.

* Orange for the incoming Kindergarten (Kimi), and green one for smaller kids (Kenzo)

* A Great place to read and learn strange truths :)

* Little munchkins really loves technology...

We read to know that we are not alone.

Summer Reading... Savouring the result :)

The Summer officially ended a couple of weeks ago and with that comes the start of school once again.

We have put our summer to good use with a lot of field trip with friends and some extra readings at home...
This kind of practice actually resulted to something to be proud of,

...a medal at the end of September 2011

It was impossible to get Kenzo to sit still for 50 reading so it was only Kimi who got to complete this challenge, maybe next year Kenzo :)

* Finding my name... Where's my name, Mommy?

* There it is!... How about Kenzo?

Emotional Power Group- Certificate Completed

When I heard about this group,I admit to getting curious about it...

Then I tried it once thinking that does it mean that toddlers will be talking about their feelings?
To answer that question....nope. It was for moms to know how to cope with toddlers different feelings and that it is okay to feel every feeling even the negative ones
It also talks about mom having to acknowledge that we also feel negative feelings toward our own child and that it IS Normal....we are still human beings

Kimi, Kenzo and me attended this group and we completed it.
Yep! You read it right. Me with two kids... :)

...and we have a certificate to show for it :)

Kenzo's trip to the library

Armed with my friend Sarah's ergo baby carrier, I was able to go all the way to the library with two babies. One baby on my back and the other one being push in a stroller :)

FREEDOM!Just wait till I practice I few more times and I'll be going farther and farther :)

It's just us this time...

Sam sam and Kimi has been playmates in the library for the past few times we went there so it was pretty natural for Kimi to look for Sam2 as soon as she entered the new library near our place...
Kimi found a little girl to play with

It's just us this time, Kimi. Auntie Sarah and Sam2 has somewhere else to go today...

POSE!

We attended the Storytime class again but unlike the last time, there were more parents and kids participating.
The Library is my playground
