...To sab :)

To one of the finest woman I was fortunate enough to get to know and be friends with...

To someone who was always there to lend a shoulder to cry on and to listen without judgement.

Someone with a sensitive soul and a kindness that is to be admired...

... To my sister-in-law... Sab :)

Thanks for being a superb sister/ friend/everything (hehe!) to me

Far Away Places in Canada

The advantage of finally having a car is finally to be able to go places farther from our usual and look at new places...

July 20, 2008: We went to West Vancouver and had lunch at Trolls.
The view was really wonderful and the fish and chips at Trolls was good also... :)

July 27, 2008: Squamish and Whistler. Lunch at A&W

Shannon Falls at Squamish is a sight to behold. The climb was a bit tiring though and maybe it was sort of raining that time and pushing a stroller that made it more harder.

I was finally able to go and see whistler this time around. They had a bike ramp set up with lots of bikers strutting their stuffs instead of the skiing and snow activities that Whistler is famous for.
We went around the area and had ice cream from the fa-MOO-us "COW" which was hailed by readers digest as the best ice cream in Canada. I was only able to eat 2 spoonfuls of the Pecan Walnut since I was sharing it with Karl and that was the only ice cream left after I went inside to pay for a souvenir magnet for our future fridge (hehe!).
Will post whistler pics soon :)

Nana's Hat for Kimi

Kimi has a limited stock of hats to match up with her wardrobe. I somehow forgot to buy hats in Manila since going to parks are not a normal pastime in the Philippines.

Here in Canada, Nana loves to bring Kimi to the nearby park in front of our house to watch the children play or just to go to the nearest supermarket to buy some food. Because of this new routine, Kimi needs more hat to cover her pretty little head.

Nana put her talent to work and made Kimi a really pretty hat in just a few hours. It just takes getting to use to since Kimi is not quite use to having her head covered up and keeps on holding the hat when it is placed on her head... I guess she is pretty proud to be bald and beautiful (hehe!)

Thank you very much nana... :)

Hi-Tech Additions...

Karl finally got his dream TV. He always wanted a big screen TV to watch all his favorite show in. He was like a kid all excited with his latest addition for our new home. He spent hours assembling the stand that will be holding his precious TV. As I watched him concentrate on his new project, I imagined that was what he must have looked like before as a kid playing with his lego.

If a picture paints a thousand words...

As for me? He surprised me with a new Digital frame to add to our side table :). Now, I can finally put all of those digi pictures i took of little kimi right in our living room.

To my very thoughtful hubby....mwaaaaaaaaaaah!

Kimi's Little Paradise...

The first room we did when we got the chance to decorate was Kimi's Room. Karl started by assembling the crib and toy storage for our little angel. Then next was doing the colorful stickers sprinkled throughout the room to fill up the bare spaces above the crib.

It was really fun completing the room Kimi will be spending a lot of time in. It was a joy going through all the shops looking for those items that will be added to a shelf or a wall and it was just satisfying looking at it improve day by day.

I know my baby is not old enough to really appreciate her room but it was just fulfilling to fill it with her toys and baby furniture and to fix her wardrobe cabinet with her little shoes and pretty dresses.

It was really a treat the first time we carried Kimi downstair to take a peek at her future room. She was looking from left to right, taking in all the colors she sees all throughout the room and doing her baby talk as if to tell us that she approves...

Enjoy your room, Baby.

With lots of Love,

From Papa and Mama

I started doing this for Kimi's AVP which was supposed to be played on her baptism reception but i was not able to finish a lot of the layouts to make it a video so here are some of the layouts for viewing. I have just done 2 1/2 months of selected pictures and am way behind already.

When i looked at these picture, I realized just how much my baby girl has grown. She used to fit snugly in the nursing pad karl bought to help me nurse her but she has grown way too big for it now. Her first doctor's visit and how hard it was for us to see her get her shot. Her first christmas... How small she was then.

How happy we were to be spending Christmas with a new addition to the family. To our little bundle of joy, WE LOVE YOU... Mwaaah.
