Guinness Book Exhibit at the Pacific Science Center

This year, I decided that we would do creative field trips with the kids and with an annual science pass that we purchased, we will be gearing toward science this year to maximize our purchase. We used our annual membership first, not on our own museum in Vancouver but on a Seattle trip, The Pacific Science Center.

I was excited as the exhibit featured was something I was interested in. The Guiness Book of World Record Exhibit. It ends at February 4th.

We went for the permanent exhibits first as it was our first time in this museum.

Science on a Sphere

All about the planets, Kenzo was more excited with playing the puzzles than learning about them..
Maybe next time?

M&Ms Mmmmmm....

When we decided to go to Vegas last August, we want a short break from doing Kid chores but when I was in Vegas, I kept on thinking of them and how they would enjoy the sights especially the Kid-themed places...

One of them was the M&M Store in Vegas...

* I love M&M Store....

* Of course, what would Vegas be without the Slot Machines?

Kimi would have loved the M&M Store in Vegas but this would have to do, for now...

A candy store in Westfield... Kimi ran to the M&M trash can to take her picture too

* Yep! It's a trash can...So nice isn't it?

* And here's yellow M&M too

It's a Jungle inside... Rainforest Cafe

I first saw Rainforest Cafe at Las Vegas...I was thinking that Kimi would have loved the interior and all the interactive animals inside the cafe as part of their design... I was surprised that there was a branch inside the Westfield Mall as well...

* Rainforest Cafe inside MGM, Las Vegas

* Las Vegas' Rainforest

Kimi was a bit scared with the Gorilla and the snake...I don't think she gets t when I said that they are not real and that it only moves because it has a machine inside... She was shrieking when the snake went down form the tree and hissed with it's tongue extending down sigh*

* Rainforest Cafe, Tukwila WA

* Mushroom inspired Bar. Love the Animal-Bottomed bar seats

* Engrossed with the Fishies

 * The Elephant also scared Kimi a bit...

Seafood City comes to Tukwila

We don't have Filipino Supermarket of this kind here in Vancouver, Canada

The biggest we have is the one in Richmond and it doesn't have a Talipapa area wherein you can get fresh seafood and a station wherein you can have them fry the seafood for you as well.

I felt like I was transported back to Trinoma's Supermarket wherein aisles of Filipino products filled the shelves. We do have our Asian Supermarket here but majority of the items are Chinese items and only a part are Filipino products but Seafood City is more on Filipino products and some Chinese products.

Even the song throughout the store was Tagalog he he!

* Talipapa Area

* Frozen Items
Sorbetes, Lumpia...

* Beverage Cooler Area

* Grocery Gondolas

* Pay Area...

They have so much Filipino product here. Sumans in three different types with different brands. Longganisa, Fish balls, Likas Papaya soap, Eskinol... I love Seafood City and I hope to return here when our supply ran out but not soon enough :( It requires a long drive just to get here. I sure hope Seafood City decided to open a branch in Vancouver soon...hint* hint*
