Kimi makes snowball

It was snowing and Kimi went out excitedly to play. I had to watch Kenzo inside and was suspicious as to why Kimi was so quiet. I checked outside and to my surprise Kimi managed to start her own snowball for her "snowman". Such a keen observer... Last time we played in the snow, I was figuring out how to make a snowball (Yep! I don't know how to do it then too!) and she was just watching me make a ball then squeezing it with my palms to make the snow compact and tried rolling it to make it bigger...

This is her doing her snowball... I am so proud of this little girl... I hope you can catch lessons in school just as fast ;)

* Don't mind me... I know I sound like some birth doula helping someone giving birth with my "PUSH" instructions... he he! I didn't realize I was doing it until I was watching this video...

* Kimi did this all by herself...

Not so Little Korean Supermarket...

It was my first time to come across this Korean Supermarket. Think of TnT, Korean Version. Every counter got a Korean Translation of what the signs mean and aisles of Korean stuffs. It was my first time and everything looks new and exciting. Time was limited since I noticed that heater wasn't on and it was a bit cold or maybe because of how the layout was done (almost all the perimeter of the store is fridge) it was a bit to cold for my comfort.
* H Mart Facade, Coquitlam Branch

* Korean Decor: Scarecrows dressed in Hanbok

* Korean Supermarket Cashiers
* Just like in TnT, they have a sushi station

* A variety of side appetizer for sampling

* Beef Station... Marinated Beefs for sale here

* Korean (?!) Baby Girl... We actually look a lot like the customers
except we have a major language barrier

* Looks a bit Korean too...

* They have small appliances too...
What really caught my attention is the endorser...
My Korean crush from the series "Endless Love: Autumn in my Heart"

* Of course, Not cooking regularly at home
I bought some snacks only... maybe next time I will buy the big variety of Korean sauces...

Sweet Siblings

It's hard work to have 2 babies without a yaya- True!
BUT it really warms my heart when I see how much my kids love each other and  how they are becoming day by day- and knowing deep down that it is because of our efforts that they are what they are now.

WE LOVE YOU KIMI and KENZO
Mommy and Daddy will always be here for you...

Kimi 2nd Week School Fashion Plate

It is still exhausting but I am having fun dressing up Kimi  everyday...

Kimi seems to be enjoying her school and thinks of it as a playdate of some sorts.
Can't wait for the Parent's Visit Day on February

School Blues: Week 1

One of the good things from school everyday is that I get to use all of Kimi's clothes... he he!

It was also a test run for me to start driving on my own... so it was an adventure for both me and Kimi...
I got honked a few times but still good :)

It was a challenge for me the whole week

First Day: Driving alone to school and to work

Second Day: Finding a new route to school, going to the nearby library plus drive to work

Third Day: Driving in snow and parking in the mall he he!

Fourth Day: Driving to school and fetching hubby from work

I didn't dare add a new challenge on the Fifth day but decided to start driving with another baby (Kenzo)
yesterday... Uhmmm... I decided to leave him with the in law today. He is such a noisy baby shouting  all the way to school. - STRESSFUL!

After school...and on a cold day

 A new tradition...

Eating after school he he!

CHOCO BANANA PIE
from the Golden Arch..Mc Donalds

Reunited with my first love...

Everyone who knew me from way back knows that I love to lose myself with a good book.
I was even a human library back in High school. Classmates would borrow books after books from me...

....then motherhood came. Fictions turns into Parenting Books...

I am so happy to be relieved of some time for myself while waiting for Kimi and I reacquainted myself to a nearby library....

Ohhhh! feels like home...Ooops! Sounds nerdy eh!?

Some light reading to keep me company while Kimi is doing gradual entry for this week.

Wednesday, January 12, 2011

I know it's way past Christmas...

But I am a sucker for Christmas stories especially if it is about second chances.

I came across this and am so glad I finally got to read it while waiting for Kimi outside her school...

She is on gradual entry right now so it is more practical to wait than go home and be back 15 minutes after...
considering how slow I drive he he!

The Christmas List

James Kier looked back and forth between the newspaper headline and the photograph of himself, not sure if he should laugh or call his attorney. It was the same photograph the Tribune had used a couple of years earlier when they featured him on the front page of the business section. While the photograph was the same, the headline could not have been more different. Not many people get to read their own obituary.
Local real estate mogul dies in automobile crash
Utah real estate develop James Kier was pronounced dead after his car collided with a concrete pylon on southbound I-80. Authorities believe Kier may have had a heart attack prior to swerving off the road.
Kier put the paper down. He had no idea what the article was about to set in motion.

Summary
When real estate mogul James Kier is mistaken for another by the same name, he learns firsthand what the world really things of him, and decides to change his future.

Kimichua-ism

What I love most about Kimi at this stage is that she can communicate...Although sometimes it comes out funny instead...

Sweetest Thing Kimi says to me EVERYDAY
Kimi: I love you soooo much Mommy Bunny
( She loves Guess How Much I love you book courtesy of Ninang Ciara)

More Sweet Sentiments from Kimi
Kimi: When I grow up, I want to be just like you!
Aaaaaaaw

Everytime mommy coughs
Kimi: (concerned) Mommy? Are you ok? You should drink more water!

On Eric's last day in Canada
Kimi: Uncle Eric, Don't leave me
Eric: Why?
Kimi: Because, I LOVE you... Naks!

Papa and Mama talking, Kimi interrupts
Mommy: Kimi, say excuse me...and wait
Kimi: Ok mommy, EXCUUUUSE ME!
Mommy:  Wait! Mommy still talking to papa
(Talks to papa then when finished...)
Mommy: Kimi, what do you want to say
Kimi: I just want to say I Love you...

Kimi: Mommy? I love you the Best!

Mommy comes home from work.  Kimi always waits by the staircase, looking towards the door
Kimi: Mommy! You're home! I Miss you!

Funny Thing Kimi said to me (us) sometimes
Kenzo loves to move his hands a lot and sometimes hits Kimi on the forehead when she is in his way
Kimi:  Mommy, my eyebrow hurts....
Uhmmm... Eyebrow?! Forehead, Kimi

Kimi: Mommy, is papa going with us to school?
Mommy: No, Papa will be at work
Kimi:  Oooh! We are going to have lots of fun! (Sorry Karl! he he!)

Mom driving and Dad the backseat driver, frustrated with Mommy
Kimi: Papa! Don't shout. You are a bad boy. Hmph!

Lier?!
They say kids don't lie... I was trying to catch Kimi whether she was sleeping or pretending to sleep
Mommy: Kimi? Are you sleeping?
Kimi: Yes Mommy (Eyes shut)
Mommy: Are you sure?
Kimi: Yes Mommy, I'm sure

...There are so much more but these are the ones on the top of my head

Teppan Kitchen

When K suggested Aberdeen centre for dinner, I thought I'd be eating my regular order of Hainanese Chicken from D' Lite.
It's a good thing there is a new thing there...

TEPPAN KITCHEN

This concept is not new in Manila. I already tried it once in Manila at Sizzling Pepper Steak
They serve the steak cook on one side and raw on the side above so you can turn it around and cook it to your liking and eat it just as soon as it's cooked to your satisfaction.

It comes with a paper barricade probably to help with the splatter of hot stuffs coming out of the sizzling plate... Rice is not included in the set, you have to order them seperately

And since we are still in Canada...
We still have to do some chores afterwards... Ha ha!
