Kimi finally had the chance to make her own toy... not really make 

* Colorful tiles welcomed customers to the workshop

* Fillers for the new toy

* After the filling, the stuff toy needs to be cleaned up

* A special heart to whisper your wishes to is put inside the bear

* A very friendly and entertaining staff helped Kimi make her dog

* Proud new mommy

* You can also make different sounds recorded for the stuff toy

* Birth Certificate... CONGRATULATIONS!

* Kimi was saying that the new toy is a boy but when she was offered a free bow, she decided to let the doggy be a girl...  haha!

Ipad's LetsTan

I love how the Ipad has been a part of Kimi's learning tool...

I tried another type of puzzle for her to explore and much to my surprise...

and happiness she was able to to finish the Kid's puzzle in one day...

It was more than 100 puzzles in this category...

This is the easiest and doesn't require rotation of the pieces...

The next category requires rotating pieces to complete the puzzle. She still did good on this category but started to lose interest in the game he he! It become monotonous after several puzzles and I try to make her do 4 puzzles a night before sleeping which she was more than happy to do.

Earth Day @ Metrotown

It was a perfect way to celebrate Earth Day.

Giving back to our environment through art...

Two giant bees metal framed sculpture occupies the open area in front of Home Outfitters for hands on experience for shoppers to be a part of a special planting ceremony...

A big metal stick and a hammer was used to poke holes big enough for the planters to fit

* Trays of plants to put into the framed bugs...

* Kimi got her hands dirtied for a chance to decorate the bee with a red and green plant

Disney Reopened :)

Finally! Disney reopened in Metrotown Mall, Burnaby

The line for opening last April 16th was quite looooong... It spanned to both sides outside the mall. There was a line up inside too, of course. I got there at 10am opening to see if we could catch a glimpse of any characters at all. We had to line up outside and managed to get the first 500 gifts BUT we weren't able to witness the opening of the store itself with Mickey and Minnie in attendance... :( Only Karl and Kenzo who were inside was able to see the opening...

Queensborough Landing

Tamarind Hill- Malaysian Cuisine

Fresh from Singapore, I was craving for something Asian

so, we decided to try Tamarind Hill which was highly recommended by Karl's office mate

It was not actually Singaporean but a Malaysian Restaurant... 

close enough at least geographically he he!

Green Mango and Papaya Salad minus the spiciness

Crisp and Fresh- this was good, I love the sauce

Roti Canai

Calamari

The Batter was good

Fried Rice

Sorry forgot what kind but this was tasty

Hokkien Mee

Noodles gone wrong... too much soy sauce... 

We had this re-cooked to lessen the saltiness and turned out okay the second time

Soft Shelled Crab

This was DELICIOUS!

Singapore Chill Tiger Prawn with Steamed Rice

...It doesn't look like Tiger prawns to me... 

Fried banana with Ice Cream

Sibling Rivalry...

The Food were all very good and I would definitely come back for dinner to see a more extensive selection :)
