Steph's Pole Dancing Stagette

Before you start thinking, Pole Dancing?!

This is a perfectly wholesome stagette with Pole Dancing instructor to teach us the basic of pole dancing as a form of exercise and keeping fit. Yes, it does involve a bit of sexy moves as much as the next dance and it was really lots of fun... although my body was aching all over the next day and a lot of bruises to show for. I guess I not so graceful on the pole or maybe just needs a bit more practice he he!

Arenex Queen's Park: Intro to Gymnastics- PASSED!

This year, Kimi started doing gymnastic during school season. She first got a taste of gymnastic during Summer at Cartwheels in Richmond and another Summer at Phoenix Gym for a week each.

She seems to like it but she got some things on her plate then and I didn't want to fill up her days with activities so we opted to wait it out.

Winter Gymnastic started January with 10 classes ending mid March. Kimi was excited as she was doing the class with two of her best buddies in school. They all ended with the recommendation to go for the next level come March end. YEY!

I love the fact that Kimi seems to be more confident with all the equipments inside the gym by the end of her classes  and she truly enjoyed the class a lot.

A dinner and a movie...

I know it is the norm for some couples but it had been awhile since we did this normal dating and finally, it happened...without any kids in tow... double yey!

We usually go towards Vancouver or Richmond but this time around we did New Westminster...

As small as this place is... it is a hidden gem of a restaurant which serves great dish (so far) every time, regardless of what dish we ordered.
* Stuffed-full

After the full and quick meal, we proceeded to the new cinema in New Westminster. According to him, it just opened last May, 2012.

* New Cinema in New Westminster

We decided to watch Amazing Spiderman instead of the Dark Knight.

* Amazing Spiderman

I liked this movie compared to the one which starred Toby Maguire. The effects were amazing. The story also showed not only how he became Spiderman but also a little backgrounder of his childhood as well. His enemy in the movie was The Lizard.

...and outside the theater, there was a booth with a Reptile girl. It turned out that a make up artist was showcasing her talent by doing some samples of The Reptile, Joke (for Batman), etc...

* Makeup artist with her version of The Lizard

To more future dates...cheers!

Burnaby Montessori's Sports Day 2012

The Sports Day this year was moved from June 1 to the 14th because of the rainy weather. Nevertheless, the rain still decided to make it's presence. It was still a fun-filled day despite the shower and the kids took advantage when the rain stopped to go outside and explore.

* Preparing the Banners

We were a bit early and had time to line up for some face painting courtesy of the teachers. We lined up for a face painting session with Teacher Su.

* Face Painting Here....

Kimi mentioned weeks prior to the event that I should cheer for the Red Team, and that she should wear red to distinguish her team for Sports Day.

* Red Team...some kids had to wear jacket,
 which covers up their red inner clothes ;)

I was in charge of 2 kids for the day. I decided that life would be easier if I got Kenzo to stay in his stroller and packed up a lot of snacks and the itouch to keep him occupied.

* Little Mischief

Kimi is into rainbow tattoos this past few events. This was her second time to request for a rainbow when she got her face painted.

* Colorful cheeks

After a couple of games, it was time for the kids to go and have their snacks with their parents and we sat with William and his parents.

* William and Kimi

Afterwards, the sun finally decided to come out and we went to the petting zoo for the second time that day, together with her classmates before we decided to call it a day.

* Peacock showing off...

...and someone decided to befriend Kenzo while I was looking at the peacock

* Mehhhh!

Queens Park Petting Area

After a successful meet and greet with pygmy goats at Beacon Hill Park, we decided to pay the goats here in New Westminster a visit.

* Queens Park

Goats in Queen's Park are way bigger than the ones in Victoria. They smell far worse too hehe!

* Goats roam free

Seeing how big they are, Kimi was more hesitant to get closer...
Good judgement Kimi

* Full grown goat

Kenzo, onthe other hand, still showed no fear and wanted to go down and have his moment with the animals... No Kenzo...

* Kenzo feels trapped in his carrier

* Not too crowded for a weekend

There was a small area of cages for rabbits and animals that you can look at from the other side of a net...

* Rabbit. Thirsty on a hot summer's day

* Cow was really tight in his little enclosure

* Feathered friends...

Kimi kept on going from side to side, happy to let the chicks follow her around from the other end of the glass. She even asked me why she was being followed... hmmm, maybe they are bored?

* Barn Princess

* More Red Barn pictures...

Now, it's time to say goodbye to the little farm.
...and hello to the playground

* Kimi's all time fave

* Love to test her legs... climb climb climb...

* Kenzo up close.... Cutie!

...and as we try to call it a day and head out to our car, someone decided to grace us with his presence
