Hamilton Street Grill

I scored another nice deal to another restaurant in Yaletown.

I saw the pictures and the reviews and decided to get the deal. I wasn't able to use it up until this April. With 2 kids in tow, hubby and our couple friends, Twinny and Stone. We headed for Hamilton Street Grill.

* Nice Patio for Summer

* This sign screams meat and steak!!!

* Travelzoo Menu 2 for $49 deal

I didn't post the pictures because of the lighting but we weren't expecting a full size meal because of the deal but it was really big and we agreed that it was really worth the price for the price we paid especially.

Shared Appetizer
Mussels with chipotle and bacon in cream sauce
-Unanimous decision: YUMMY!

One Entree Each
Hubby: 12 oz Blackened NY Strip Steak with Garlic Sauteed Mushrooms (Medium Well)
-It was good and a big size too!

Mel: Red-wine Braised Lamb Shank with caramelized onions and herb mashed potatoes
- First time to try lamb and it was good. I just keep thinking "lamb' every time I take a bite

Shared Dessert
No option for this: Gingerbread pudding with warm caramel sauce
-So full but had room for this yummy dessert. Ice cream in ginger sounds weird but it was surprisingly good as well. Time Out Vancouver calls this dessert "famously spectacular"

...afterwards, some photo op

Ontario Mills Outlet

Who doesn't love outlet stores? When the weather gets rainy, we go indoors for a good buy.

* Ontario Mills Facade

* Such a big outlet. Several markers to help the customers around

* Handy directory

I didn't realize until I was already there that you actually need a car to go places. The public transportation is not as good an alternative as here in Vancouver.

Lucky to have a friend who actually went on a limb to lend us a car during our whole stay so that everything we want to go is possible. Thanks Honey and Ver!!!

...and to an updated GPS from our Canadian relative. Thank you Uncle Alfonso :)

Dollar Smart Halloween Costumes

I love a great buy and with Halloween right around the corner, Halloween costumes are getting a real big dive for last minute moms.

I found some costumes at my favorite dollar store :)

Even though I got some costumes early, I couldn't help but snag these cuties just in case...

* Cute Pumpkin... $2

* Kenzo doesn't like to put on the headpiece :(

I found some cool accessories as well...

* Orange hair extensions $1, Tutu at $2

I also love the shirt which I got a few months ago on a sale at less than $5 :)

* Witch Hat $1.25- $2

* Cuteeee!

I also found a Halloween set which was not too appealing on the shelf but I took a chance on because it was just $2. Turns out cute too!

* Halloween Set $2; Witch Hat $1.25- $2

Can't find any orange one to complement with this costume but this red hat is too cute to resist.

I know it's way past Christmas...

But I am a sucker for Christmas stories especially if it is about second chances.

I came across this and am so glad I finally got to read it while waiting for Kimi outside her school...

She is on gradual entry right now so it is more practical to wait than go home and be back 15 minutes after...
considering how slow I drive he he!

The Christmas List

James Kier looked back and forth between the newspaper headline and the photograph of himself, not sure if he should laugh or call his attorney. It was the same photograph the Tribune had used a couple of years earlier when they featured him on the front page of the business section. While the photograph was the same, the headline could not have been more different. Not many people get to read their own obituary.
Local real estate mogul dies in automobile crash
Utah real estate develop James Kier was pronounced dead after his car collided with a concrete pylon on southbound I-80. Authorities believe Kier may have had a heart attack prior to swerving off the road.
Kier put the paper down. He had no idea what the article was about to set in motion.

Summary
When real estate mogul James Kier is mistaken for another by the same name, he learns firsthand what the world really things of him, and decides to change his future.

Kimi's Quilted Poncho

I love it when you find something you really love unintentionally. Such a thing happened with this poncho... It was love at first sight and even though it was a 4T and Kimi was not even 2 years old yet, I got to have it... It would look so good on her I said to myself and it was I got it for below $5 Cad! What a buy :)

Tommy Sale and TD Coupon= Great Buys :)

It was already 70% off on Tommy Store but what made it more cheaper was a TD Coupon exclusive to TD card holder for 15% entire purchase including sale items :)

I don't buy clothes for Kenzo since I got lots of great hand me downs from my mommy friend, Glenda... (THANKS GLENDS!) but I figured that sometimes I got to buy some new ones as well when it is this cheap!

so...

Wait for Little Kenzo's new pictures with this Tommy Collection (",)

Carters and Osh Kosh in B.C., Canada

One of the stores Canadians in Vancouver always visit when they crossed the border is the Carters Store in Washington. Now, we can finally say that we have a Carter store (and Osh Kosh store) here in Canada
The first Carter Store in Vancouver I went to was the one in Surrey West. It was small compared to the Premium Outlet store located in Seattle Washington. Both Carters and Osh Kosh shares a space and one thing I like about the store is that it is spacious and bright.
Smart Centre Branch, Surrey West
There were some good deals in store. I got these for $3.99 and below!

$2.99 for the Onesies boys (2 pack is also $2.99 only!) and $3.99 for the Onesies girls.
Seattle Premium Outlet's Carter usually comes with a coupon which you can use on their store but in my experience, I haven't got a deal this low anyway so maybe what's offered in Canada is worth a look as well.

\
Morgan Crossing, South Surrey Branch

I love Morgan Crossing and having a Carters in the vicinity just made me love this shopping location more... There is so much to see here and there are more to come!!! Gap outlet is coming soon :) It says Summer 2010 but I guess they got delayed.
* Got all this outfits for $2.99/ set plus 20% GRAND OPENING DISCOUNT!

I actually came here thinking that I'd like to take a look at this branch. Besides, a friend of mine gave me her pre-loved outfits so my Little Kenzo actually has a lot of clothes to choose from- BUT, who could resist a 20% discount on top of a very low price?! Not me!

I also got a really great Winter jacket for my Unica Hija for an unbelievable $25 + 20% discount. It was brown and water proof, hood attached with faux spotted fur. Will try to post a picture when I got it :).

* Kimi posing with one of the toys inside the store.

Lady Gaga at MGM Grand

Didn't realize that Gaga was set to perform tonight at MGM. The poster in the lobby branded it sold out. Hmmm... maybe will try to drop by and see if we can atleast hear her :) fingers crossed

I'm not a fan but it's actually impossible not to know her with all those catchy songs of her.
