Birthday Playdate

It was supposed to be a regular Tuesday going to a free art class but Sarah made a call inviting us over for an impromptu playdate with the birthday girl, Sam.

We, of course, gamely agreed to go all the way to Richmond to be with Little Samantha :)

Mommy Sarah went to the nearby Filipino store and didn't disappoint us with all the Filipino dishes she chose:
FROM THE SHELF
Oatmeal cookie
...shared between kids, and occasionally by us moms ;)

CUISINA MANILA
Binagoong na Pusit
Kare Kare
Bistek Tagalog
Sort of Rellenong Bangus

Tree Organic Cafe
Original Sin Cheescake
Blueberry Cheesecake

Sago and Gulaman
* * * * *

* The Feast...

As if it wasn't enough, Sarah pulled up a small packet of Chicharon bituka... (I wouldn't translate it so as not to gross you out!)...

* Yummy...

Great minds think alike and maybe it's summer so...

* Nice TOMS see you... We should have taken a picture with Sarah's gray one

One of the reason we hold playdates, aside from sharing motherhood experiences, is that we want the kids to grow up to be friends as well. And it warms our heart when we see the girls bonding over lunch talking amongst themselves. (Before, the mommies talk and the kids crawl into their own corner with one toy of their choice and play.... in short, they don't interact, unless they are fighting over a toy both of them wants... )

* Lunch date, Mini gals

When the Gnomeo and Juliet movie started playing, everyone settled to watch...

* Look at Kenzo- INTENT on the TV he forgot to sit

* Kalen scares easily but couldn't help peeking from the counter

* Kenzo was so happy with all the new toys....

...and then before we knew it, it was time to go.

* To more playdates... and more birthdays...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM!
MWAAAAH!
