Mommy: We are going to an oath taking....

(Silence...)

Kimi: i think i like oats, or maybe not....

I think she was expecting breakfast to be served today...should have explained more

Mother's Day Breakfast

Kimi: Mommy what do you want for breakfast?

Mommy: corned beef and eggs

Kimi: Mommy, I can't cook that... You can order oh's (cereal), strawberries....

Kenzo: i want strawberries, orange....

Mommy: ok i will have oh's

Kimi went out and came back

Kimi: we don't have strawberries. Only oh's... And no milk too

That is how we end up with dry cereals for brekky.

How OLD are you?

Kimi: i told my friends you were 34 and they said that's impossible

Kimichua-ism... My Little helper and Holiday preparation

Kimi brought home some handmade cards she made from school. I was surprised, it was nothing abstract and quite nice :) Good Job my Little Artiste

I decided to put some of her little sayings just so I can have this to look back on next time...

We started labeling cards for our gifts this year and decided that Kimi can do the writings on the inside of the cards for her circle of little friends...

When I got the card, I saw the last one with Kenzo's name spelled KENZOE...

Mommy: Kimi, why did you put an E at the end of shoti's name?

Kimi: Remember mommy, you told me that "e" at the end of a word doesn't make a sound, so it doesn't matter...

...Uhmm, ok!

I call Kimi my little helper... She has been such a helper in the house and when Kenzo gets into his active moments, I tend to throw a lot of commands her way...

Mommy: Kimi!!! please take off your clothes and pick up what shoti threw on the floor... and please get the stool out of the way and back in the bathroom....

Kimi: Mommy, I came from school and I am tired. I need to rest. I know I am your helper but helpers do get tired too you know....

Kimichua-ism about Ladybugs

Kimi never fails to surprise me...

Usually, we update each other when I catch Kimi awake at night after a late night's work.

Kimi: I know a LOT about bugs mommy

Mommy: Really?

Kimi: Ladybugs eats aphids

Mommy: aphids? What's that? maybe insects... (googling on the side)

Kimi: No, APHIDS!

(Finally found aphids... she's right)

Kimi was saying something about how farmers love the aphids and that they are quite juicy...and so on and so forth....

I am quite happy that Kimi is absorbing things from school. Far from it, I am already having a hard time remembering her monologue about the aphids but just wanted to blog about it

Kimichua-ism regarding surprise for Mother`s Day

I was fishing for some information as to what is Kimi up to for the mother`s day presentation this year..

Mommy: Kimi? What are you planning for Mother`s Day?
Kimi:  It`s a surprise. I won`t tell you.

Then, she proceeded to sing a song which was suspiciously related to mommies...

Mommy: Kimi, is that the song you are singing for Mother`s Day?
Kimi: Yes mommy, this is just one song! I am not going to sing the other ones...
(She can`t seem to keep a surprise...)


Next Day

Kimi singing another new mommy song...

Mommy: Kimi, what are you singing?
Kimi: Nothing! Teacher said I need to practice... I need lots of practice!

Kimichua-ism about Growing and Marriage

For us kids grow way too fast and I always commented to my babies that they are growing way too fast

One day, Kimi suddenly decided to voice out her feelings

Kimi: Mommy?
Mommy: Yes?
Kimi: It's been 7 days already and Kenzo is still a baby, he doesn't grow AT ALL!

Kimi: Mommy, when I grow up who is going to be my other mommy and daddy?

I figured she was asking about the ìn-laws`...

Mommy: What do you mean?

Kimi: Just like Nana and Kong Kong

Mommy:  it depends, if you marry Justin (referring to her play mate), you have Auntie Glenda and Uncle Warren as your new parents
Kimi thought for awhile
Kimi: Who am I going to marry?
Mommy: You marry someone who will make you happy...
Kimi:  Ooooh! Daddy makes me happy.
That settles it then we will have the same in laws in the future LOL!

Grandpa decided to do the filling of the stockings from Santa Claus this year...

(Looks inside the stockings, found some candies that is very familiar. Note: Candy that grandpa gives her everytime) 

Kimi: You're so funny Grandpa, This is not from Santa Claus, this is from you!

Grandpa: Errr, (trying to collect his thought) I gave this to Santa Claus, Kimi... How about this one? (Getting a new candy...unfamiliar to Kimi)

Kimi: Uhmm, maybe that is from Santa

Kimichua-ism about 3 and 1's

Whenever there is new clothes, Kimi noticed that it has a 3 on size label...

so she asks...

Kimi: Mommy, why is this number 3, for 3 years old?

Mommy:  No, that is for your size but usually 3 year old wears size 3

After a few weeks...

Kimi saw a shampoo, conditioner and body wash... 3 in 1

Kimi: Mommy, is this for Kimi and shoti?

Mommy: Yes. Why do you ask?

Kimi: Because this is for 3 and 1...

Uhmmm.... Okay!

Kimichua-ism about rain

While driving, Kimi usually talks nonstop towards our destination...

It was raining one day on our way to school...

Kimi: Mommy, Why does it rain?

Mommy: (thinking of a simple answer) Because the rain waters the plants to keep it alive

Kimi: No Mommy, it rains because the clouds are heavy.

Mommy: (surprised) Who told you that?

Kimi: You Mommy! Remember...

Mommy: Oh yeah! (I told her about that once! I never thought she'd remember...)

Aaaaaw!!!

Build a Bear Experience

Kimi finally had the chance to make her own toy... not really make 

* Colorful tiles welcomed customers to the workshop

* Fillers for the new toy

* After the filling, the stuff toy needs to be cleaned up

* A special heart to whisper your wishes to is put inside the bear

* A very friendly and entertaining staff helped Kimi make her dog

* Proud new mommy

* You can also make different sounds recorded for the stuff toy

* Birth Certificate... CONGRATULATIONS!

* Kimi was saying that the new toy is a boy but when she was offered a free bow, she decided to let the doggy be a girl...  haha!

These are just a few things why I love having a daughter... Such precious gift from God. I am excited what kind of lambing a little boy does... hmmm.... You got a big shoes to fill Kenzo :)
