Vending Machine for the 'Forgetful traveler'
It used to be candies, chocolates and snacks...
Not anymore, with Best Buy making it's way to hotels and airports targeting travelers who forgot some basic travel-related necessities like chargers, sd cards and even cameras!
* MGM Grand's Best buy Express
I don't know personally how long this kiosks started but this is the first time I saw this machine and I am quite amazed with it. If it weren't for the fact that I got all I need for the trip I would be very tempted to buy something just to be able to try it out...

The Little Entrepreneur
Kids today are way too advance....
when I first got the itouch, Kimi started tinkering with it without knowing what it was
She started with the puzzle applications and mastered them right away. She loves the piano application as well as the drawing applications.
Now, she has moved on to another level. She is doing real adult games and she really understand the concepts of how the games work!
My 2.5 yo baby girl is now into the Entrepreneur related ttpe of games... a Big Whoa!

* How to run an ice cream parlor
Title: Ice Tycoon

* How to run a hospital
Title: Are you alright?

* Running a restaurant

Incentive... to drive
Up until now, I haven;t had the chance to go for a learner's knowledge test. Between two kids and a job... I am way too busy to have a moment to sit and study.... But sometimes there are reason that will give you the extra push.
First, I am thinking that Kimi is about to go to school and I can;t imagine taking the bus with a toddler every school day... Look at the amount of time it will take from my day.... :

* Look at all the knobs and buttons...
I haven't explored this fully since I just rode this two short trips but I am really amazed at the Navigator system that is built into the system... Garmin GPS is user-friendly but this car's navigator is really state of the art..
...and the radio! It has an option of a satellite radio which you can subscribe and pay for monthly at $15/month, sort of like a cable...on radio
...plus a plug inside for charging

It was a new technology and naturally we wanted to meet the baby so so much so we decided to shell out our salaries for this 4d meeting...
The difference between the 3d and 4d ultrasound? It was just the movement. 3d are stills while the 4d has movement. I was happy that we did the 4d, K got to see for himself just how active his baby is. I kept on telling him that I am feeling an inner roller coaster this time around and I am happy that he can now see for himself because even the sonographer was commenting how she can;t get a picture of Baby K because of his constant movement.
BLEH!
...with all the prodding in my stomach
to keep his hands off from his face,
he finally relented but not before
Baby K finally stuck out his tongue
BOY!
Just like a typical man
...he shows off his assets

Som Visao: A Haven for the stressed body
I got an early backache for my second pregnancy. It doesn't help that I do work at night on top of the house chores and taking care of Little Active Kimi.
I was really aiming for a massage but was surprised how much a prenatal massage costs... (around $65 for an hour and around $89 for a 45 minute session). I fould out though that I can actually claim a huge percentage from K's health benefit through his company. Alas! A SIGN!
I googled for a place that offers pre-natal massage which I could surely claim and found out that the health benefit we have only honors RMT (Registered Massage Therapist). I was actually scheduled for a massage with a CMT (Certtified Massage Therapist, Whew!), I cancelled and decided to go with Som Viseo because I specifically saw the name of Great West Life in their site.
Now, I just need those coupons to have an additional discount for my 4d ultrasound... They give out a maximum of $20 for referral and I actually reached the maximum through subscribing ($10), referral through K's address ($5) and Kimi ($5). MISSION ACCOMPLISHED :)

Keeping I-(n)TOUCH
K decided to buy me an ipod touch 3rd generation without any special occassion. Aaaaaw... he claims that he knew how I wanted it that's why he decided to gave me one.
I was reluctant to accept it thinking we should be saving for our next baby but when I started exploring the new gadget... It is so much easier to get in touch with my face through Facebook with this pocket-size gadget... And you can check emails and view you tube and lots more :)
My only problem with it is that it has no adobe flash player to download which I think is pretty important if you want to surf. I guess they are working on it right... I am going to cross my fingers for it :)

Tickled Pink
A day before my birthday, I got a very sweet gift from my loving hubby. He surprised me with a mini laptop which he managed to purchase without my knowledge. I instructed him the night before to charge my laptop when he woke up in the morning for his early work. Imagine my surprise when I went to the bathroom and saw that there was a small box atop our dining table with a pink ribbon and a birthday card! A new laptop! Aaaaw!

I couldn't believe it! He never fails to surprise me... not just on my birthday but sometimes even when there is no occassion at all. I love you Karl :) you and Kimi are my life.

Unknown Caller
In an effort to get our mobile bill lowered, I called up Fido to cancel the $11 dollar which also includes the caller ID. I thought that, like in Manila, the caller's name will come out on screen if we haveit in our phone book. Was I wrong! Now, everyone who calls up my mobile, even hubby, is an unknown caller. :(
So when we received a call at 4am we thought it was a prank call. Who would call at this insane hour? and since I am already awake, I went to the bathroom and heard that the upstair's phone is ringing. I told hubby that maybe that WAS an important call from Manila which turned out to be quite important....
UNKNOWN CALLER....humbug! This is quite an inconvenience.

Laptop Woes...
Just when I was about to update my blog again.... My laptop went crashing and refused to give me more than just a BLANK screen.... Oh no! All my photos for Kimi's 11th months are not yet transferred to a dvd... but more than that, when will this laptop work again? Sheesh! I hate this model... I thought that the wireless not working last august was resolved when I bought an external wifi but I guess I was wrong... Now the wireless AND the monitor is not working. I searched the net and found out that this particular HP Pavillon Dv6000 really has a lot of unsatisfied user complaining about it.
I'm keeping my fingers cross for my laptop. HP agreed to send me a box and ship the item to them for a look at my laptop for FREE. For the meantime, I have to borrow available laptops to check everything online :(

Techie in-laws
Fresh from their 10-day cruise to US of A for a well-deserved reward for themselves, my in-laws, particularly my father in law has been catching up with his emails using my laptop (There goes my blogging for a few days...). He was so into emails that he decided to buy himself his own laptop!

... A Toshiba Satellite L300
Welcome to the world of endless technology possibilities! :)
